iPhone 12 (Pro): Apple is investigating serious display problems
Internal service documents should show that Apple is aware of the display problems of various iPhone 12 models and that they are apparently working on a software solution. Customers report greenish and flickering OLED screens. In the MacRumors forums and the Apple Support Community, since the market launch of the new iPhone 12 (Pro) models, there has been talk of “faulty” displays that struggle with image flickering and green or gray halos. Affected users should wait for a software update

So far, Apple is assuming that it will get the problems under control by updating iOS in the future. At the start of the iPhone 11 (Pro), many owners also complained about a green-tinged display, the problems of which were once fixed with the update to iOS 13.6.1.
MacRumors reports on the basis of current user reports that the problems with screen flickering and an unnatural gray or green coloration of the display primarily occur under iOS 14.1 and iOS 14.2. Especially when the brightness of the OLED panels drops below 90 percent. With an auto-brightness option, this should be the case comparatively often. In addition, the problems should not occur permanently, but only temporarily and should disappear again after a short period of use.
