iPhone 12 users are increasingly reporting network errors and disconnections

After the first few weeks with the new iPhone 12 family, owners are now reporting difficulties with reception and with changing the cellular network. According to a media report, problems with LTE and 5G connections arise when traveling. This is reported by the online magazine 9to5Mac. The magazine had collected error messages. Owners of a new iPhone 12 or 12 Pro have released it. It turned out that there is a reception problem with the iPhone. The Internet connection on the iPhone 12 breaks down unexpectedly, for some users LTE or 5G reception is completely lost and can only be used again after a restart or after switching to flight mode and back.

Problems en route - is it the “handover”?

The connection problems should occur particularly frequently when one is in motion, for example while driving a car or traveling in general. 9to5Mac picked out an interesting report from a person affected who noticed the error when switching between the transmission masts. You shouldn’t really notice that anymore and problems should be completely excluded - but the user experience says something different now.

He is convinced that as soon as he leaves one broadcast area and enters a new one, the problem arises - he is then offline every time. The smartphone does not show any reception and can only be made to dial in again by switching flight mode on and off.

The user had consulted Apple, but it was not reported whether Apple already knew the problem. The victim was then able to replicate the problem and send the report to Apple. According to 9to5Mac, there is already a lot of feedback on the bug and lively discussions on the Internet. The problem is always the same, with many disconnections.
